This pretty matcha bowl was made using a special Japanese firing technique, the so-called ‘raku firing technique’, in which the ceramic does not cool in special ovens but is fired outside in the fresh air. Together with organic fuels such as leaves, straw, etc., the vessel is embedded airtight in a container. With this technique, individual patterns can be seen on each ceramic piece, making each bowl unique. This great raku bowl convinces with a reddish-brown overflow glaze and is as unique as its owner.
